 Once again, I was amazed (but not surprised!) at the generosity of Happy Dog students, who donated a staggering amount of both dog and cat food to the Town of Huntington Animal Shelter. The food was dropped off and the shelter is very grateful for the contribution!

(Please keep your local animal shelter in mind this holiday season...many shelters are filled to capacity right now as more people facing foreclosure and economic hardship are forced to give up their pets - and municipal budgets are shrinking!)

Happy Dog would like to thank everyone who donated items for this event, including Community Pet, Selmer's Pet Land, Dix Hills Animal Hospital, and artists Elsie Callahan, Suzanne Carlino and Beth Lipson, as well as Mike & Jamie Kelley, who took the Dog/owner Look-alike Contest photos!
