The Family Dog Level 1 Course is a "life skills" dog training class designed to teach your dog basic manners. We emphasize teaching your dog skills to replace behaviors you don't like, such as jumping on people,"counter-surfing", or door-dashing! This course includes:

• Polite Greetings (no jumping)
• Loose Leash Walking
• Come (make sure your volume is on and hit your "back" button when finished instead of the "X"!)
• Leave it (dropped food or items)
• Go to Place
• Sit/stay and Down/stay
• Give (drop it)
• Take it

All Happy Dog training courses are taught using reward-based methods. A major focus of this course is building your relationship through positive training. Good, reliable training is about communicating with your dog so he WANTS to do what you'd like him to do!

8 week course, LIMIT 6 DOGS PER CLASS.  Open to dogs at least 6 months of age (or younger if a graduate of our Puppy Kindergarten program). This course is a prerequisite for Tricks Class.
