Cleveland is my first dog in more than twenty years and the first entirely for Lena. I have to say not only did Cleveland obviously enjoy coming to both Puppy Kindergarten and Family Dog I, but it was quite the learning experience for me as well. Always, and still, happy and rambunctious, Cleveland is growing into becoming a great family dog and I have to credit Ellen and her teaching for much of that. Trying to stay on top of everything and looking forward to Family Dog II this fall I believe! Thanks again.

Joel, Lena, and Cleveland!

I think Fred and I enjoyed the classes as much as Molly did! Ellen makes living with a dog fun and sensible. I only wish I had known more about dog behavior years ago when I struggled to deal with our Pepper and all of her problems. With continued practice and training we will certainly make Molly proud that we are her parents! Looking forward to Family Dog 1.

This is simple - ELLEN KNOWS DOGS! She is patient kind and willing to impart her knowledge to others so that they too can have amazing relationships with their dog/s. Her wisdom is shared in a clear cut and easy to understand way. My 7 year old granddaughter was able to attend class and learn alongside me. This has helped to make working with our puppy at home a family affair, and has insured that Toby will have consistent instructions. If everyone had someone like Ellen to learn from - no dog would end up in a shelter!!!!! Thank You Ellen from Toby, and and our entire family!

I loved puppy kindergarten! Life with Olivea has definitely improved. I learned so many practical training techniques, insight into how a dog thinks, and most important, how to keep Olivea safe. I know with continued reinforcement that she will come to me if she ever gets loose. It's obvious how committed Ellen is to her profession and her students (both two and four legged!).Sometimes I had to ask Ellen to explain something (sometimes more than once) and she was always patient and never made me feel funny for asking. Finally what I was most not expecting was the class was interesting and fun, and I'm actually looking forward to Family Dog 1!

Family Dog 1 really helped enrich the relationship with our puppy. At 6 mos old Charlie did not respond well to dominance/yelling/'pulling out my hair' training, we were very happy to hear about Ellen!! The class helped us learn where to focus our attention and energy and how to help Charlie learn behaviors using rewards/snacks/play. We had homework to do with Charlie, and by graduation you could see a visible positive difference in his behavior and in our bond with him. He is great at COME! which was our biggest concern, and loose leash walking. we are still working on polite greetings - we have the tools we just have to practice practice practice .. Thank you Ellen and all the members in our class!! enjoy!

We feel that Coco really benefited for Family Dog 1. She is much better behaved than she was. We frequently get comments from people about how well trained she is. Thanks for everything.

Happy Dog Training helped us to keep our sanity after we brought home two puppies at once--double the fun and trouble. We went from feeling totally out of control to actually enjoying our dogs! Mealtime changed from the dogs jumping and devouring the food to sitting and waiting for the ok to eat. Walks went from us being taken for a walk to leisurely strolls. They sit, down, and come on command. What a difference. So glad that you were recommended to us. We couldn't have made it without you! Thank you!

Truly enjoyed your puppy kindergarten class. Definitely learned a lot about my puppy and how to make living with a puppy/dog a wonderful experience. Cassie especially enjoyed class!! I am sure she misses seeing all her friends!

Marley loves going to classes. He's a smart boy who loves food!

Always a pleasure to be there, I just have to stay focused with him.

Jonny learned so much in puppy kindergarten! We have applied the techniques that Jonny learned with our other two dogs and we now have a much calmer household. Thank you, Ellen!!

Bodie has really picked up on "leave it". Loose leash walking is so much nicer now. We still need to curb his enthusiasm when greeting others but he is most definitely better. We continue to work on that behavior with the help of a few patient friends. The skills targeted in class helped to make us to enjoy Bodie even more.

Willy and I loved the puppy class. Willy especially loved playtime at the end but we also learned many common sense things. We are looking forward to taking Family Dog startinn in June. Any graduates from puppy kindergarten feel free to call us for a playdate.

Our dog, Lacey is a graduate of Puppy Kindegarten. Ellen was, and continues to be fantastic! No matter how many question we had during and after class Ellen always made herself available. Lacey learned so much in such a short time. People always compliment us on how well behaved she is. I am confident that if I had a question or concern, even a year from now Ellen would definitely be there for us.

Winston is a recent graduate of Puppy Kindergarten! The three of us (Michael, Winston, and I) benefitted so much from this class! Ellen's methods are wonderful, and the structure of the class was fantastic. Ellen was always available by phone or email for our questions which was also a huge help! Winston has learned to follow basic commands and act in a polite manner around other people and dogs. He loved coming to class every week and the socialization opportunities were wonderful for his development. We are so thankful to have found Happy Dog Training and are already enjoying week 2 of Family Dog 1!!
