I think the best thing that I got out of Puppy Kindergarten with Ellen was the ability to see things from Miss Rosie's scatterbrained, puppy perspective. In being able to do that, I am better able to understand her and, in turn, she gets me a little more! After PK, my four month old Berner has a 'sit' to die for, waits for her food and treats, has stopped using my kids as chew toys, retreats to her crate when things get crazy and has started to figure out that pulling on her leash gets her, literally, nowhere.

I'm looking so forward to FD1 in January since, as Ellen predicted, I'm beginning to get a mouthy teenager on my hands who barks for attention and can not figure out for the life of her why I keep asking her to lay down when she's already sitting! :) But Ellen will show me how to take care of that, and more, in the very near future!!

Thank you, Ellen, for giving me the tools and understanding to work with this precious puppy and make her a dog that my whole family can enjoy and spend time with!!

Bentley and I just finished puppy kindergarten with Ellen. This is the second dog that I have brought to Happy Dog. My other English Cocker completed puppy kindergarten, family dog 1 and family dog 2. Since Payton and I had such a good experience with Ellen and learned a lot, I decided that Happy Dog was the right place for Bentley. We will return to Ellen in January for Family Dog I. Thank you, Ellen for the wonderful job that you do, and for the interest that you take in each dog and his or her humans.

See you soon.

Biscuit attended your puppy kindergarden and level 1 training classes 8 years ago. She is a great dog and very well trained. I enjoyed attending the classes and tell my friends about you. Thanks, Lorrie

We enjoyed working with Ellen so much with our last dog, we had to come back again with our new puppy. People are always commenting on how well behaved she is "especially since she's a Jack Russell". And our little pup loves to show off everything she's learned. If you're looking for the best trainer possible, look no further. Ellen Rassiger is the best. It is clear by how she interacts with the dogs, how she teaches the owners, and the support she provides in and out of the class. Plus you'll have a lot of fun too.

Ellen,
Your name came to me, highly recommended, and I would agree with those recommendations. After taking Puppy Class and Family Dog 1, I know you made a big difference in what direction our Crosby is going. I found you to be so very informative, very patient, funny, and willing to always help.
I look forward to more classes and think you are a wonderful trainer. Thank you for everything!!

Ellen, Thank you for the great puppy classes - Finn is a much better puppy for them. The classes have taught me that time spent working with your puppy make for a happy and well behaved puppy that you can bring anywhere. Thanks again and look forward to Family Dog:)

Hi Ellen,

I can't thank you enough for how you have changed my life with Bowie. I knew I was totally in love with this little (well not so little) furry puppy, but your training was just the icing on the cake. I looked forward to each Saturday class to find out more fun ways to train Bowie. And the best part of your training, at least for me.... was the continual reminder if Bowie misbehaved, it was [probably preventable]. If that is the only message - which it is not -that I take away from the class, it would be enough.

I am so looking forward to the next level of training. Again, THANK YOU big time for all your help. You truly have effected change in our lives. How lucky we are to have you here on Long Island! Andrea

Beyond the obvious benefits of improved behavior, our overall interaction with Nola is so much better and more productive since starting the Family Dog 1 class. The thing we tell family and friends is that the training really helped us understand her, and in turn she understands us much better - truly making her a happy dog, and us happy pet parents. Ellen, you have been absolutely wonderful from the beginning, before we even started class you were helping us, and then being highly accessible and responsive throughout the course of the 8 week training - going beyond what we expected - Thank you! We are all looking forward to Family Dog 2!

Charlie, our Pembroke Corgi, is soo much better behaved after the Happy Dog classes. He amazed everyone at Thanksgiving with his "stays" and "leave it". But best of all with company leaving doors open, we had real life experience with him getting out of the house and he came running back for his peanut butter every time.
